For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
The Maine Facts
When: July 8-14, 2017
We depart from APC on Saturday, July 8th at 8:00 am. We spend Sunday worshipping, meeting site leaders and building community. We begin work on Monday morning and work a half of a day on Friday, July 14th. The trip closes with a team prayer on Friday at 1:00 pm. Departure to NJ follows immediately thereafter.
Where: We’ll be staying in the dorms at the University of Maine in the charming little town of Farmington.
What: We’ll be doing construction work on homes. In the past we’ve done roofing, painting, building wheelchair ramps, siding, repairing porches, tearing down porches, installing windows, putting up drywall and even rebuilding an entire bathroom! Our mission partners require youth to be at least 14 years old to work on-site without a parent.
Who: Anyone! This is an intergenerational trip designed for the whole family. No matter your age or skill level there is a place for you on this trip. Youth who are going into High School can come on the trip without their parents but younger youth need to attend the trip with a parent.
Adults – age 25 and over– being able to drive youth
College/Graduates – ages 18-24 – graduated from HS

Why: Because in Jesus Christ, God modeled for us that true leadership is servant leadership and those who want to be the greatest will be servant to all. We go to Maine to humbly serve others and to be a blessing to anyone who might be in need. All that and itʼs just a bunch of fun spending a week with your APC family working side by side and sharing life for a whole week. Itʼs a trip that youʼll never forget.
